Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs the use of services provided by Host Niki and is intended to ensure a safe, secure, and lawful environment for all our customers. By using our services, you agree to comply with this AUP and are responsible for the conduct of your users and clients.

1. Prohibited Activities

You may not use Host Niki’s services to engage in, promote, or support activities that include (but are not limited to):

Illegal Activities: Hosting, distributing, or linking to content that is illegal under Indian or international law, including child pornography, pirated software, or fraudulent schemes.
Spam and Unsolicited Messages: Sending bulk unsolicited emails, spam campaigns, or any kind of email abuse that may cause blacklisting of our servers or IP addresses.
Hacking or Unauthorized Access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to networks, systems, or user accounts.
Phishing and Fraud: Hosting phishing pages, scam websites, or any content that misleads or deceives users for fraudulent gain.
Resource Abuse: Overuse or abuse of server resources (CPU, RAM, I/O) that negatively impacts other users on shared environments.
Malware Distribution: Hosting or spreading viruses, trojans, worms, spyware, or any other malicious software.

2. Content Restrictions

You are strictly prohibited from hosting the following types of content on our servers:

Adult content or pornography
Gambling websites or betting services
Illegal drug sales or paraphernalia
Hate speech, violence, terrorism, or extremist content
Defamatory, libelous, or offensive content against individuals or groups

3. Security and Abuse Prevention

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your hosting account, website, and any installed applications. Regular updates, strong passwords, and monitoring are expected. If your site is compromised or used for abuse, it may be suspended without notice.

4. Network and Server Integrity

You agree not to engage in activities that could disrupt or degrade the performance of our infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to port scanning, DDoS attacks, IP spoofing, or any activity that negatively affects our network or other customers.

5. Email Usage Guidelines

All email usage must comply with anti-spam laws (e.g., CAN-SPAM Act) and best practices. Mass mailing must be approved, and opt-out mechanisms must be provided. Abuse of the email system will result in immediate suspension.

6. Fair Usage for Shared Hosting

Shared hosting is intended for standard website operations. Any activity such as file storage, backups, video hosting, or file sharing must be hosted on dedicated servers or VPS, not shared hosting plans.

7. VPS and Dedicated Server Usage

You have root access on VPS and Dedicated Servers, but you are still subject to this AUP. Any activity that impacts our overall infrastructure, violates laws, or facilitates abuse is prohibited.

8. Suspension and Termination

Violations of this AUP may result in immediate suspension or termination of your services, without notice or refund. Host Niki reserves the right to investigate any suspected violation and take appropriate action at its sole discretion.
